There aren't many special events going on in the Smokies during Labor Day Weekend - it's more of a chance to have more time to enjoy what's already here. There is one exception though and it comes in the form of the Fine Arts Festival at the Arrowmont Complex in downtown Gatlinburg. Similar to the Craftsmen's Fair, The Fine Arts Festival is a collection of some of the best artists and crafters locally and abroad showing off their wares and competing for $10,000 worth of prizes. You get to see some amazing works of art, they receive the recognition they deserve - everyone wins at the Fine Arts Festival!
